White County vs. Charles Brown

FOX 16 - Little Rock, Arkansas - Animal Abuse in White County.

Over the past two days, Ron Heppner of the Beebe Humane Society, Ariel (volunteer), and Jose (volunteer), removed all the kennels and dog houses from the property of Charles Brown in Bald Knob, Arkansas. Brown surrendered the kennels and houses on Thursday, 12-17-05. We wanted to remove them as soon as possible, to prevent them from becoming stolen. Five dogs have been stolen from the property thus far, and we couldn't risk anything else getting stolen and providing a future habitat for further Pit Bull breeding and fighting.

CASE FACTS:
Seventeen dogs were found on the Brown property.
Five dogs were stolen from the property of Charles Brown.
Five dogs were found dead on the property, cause of death - starvation.
Three more dogs were eventually put to sleep, due to the extent of their illnesses.
Two of these dogs were taken by Where Angels Run Pit Rescue, Jaxie and Jordan are their names. The remaining two dogs were taken, with Jaxie, to the Beebe Humane Society.

Soon after (Sunday), one of the Pits at the Beebe Humane Society, died. The cause of death - starvation (this poor soul had not an ounce of fat on his body.) They also noted multiple bite wounds that were infected along with intestinal parasites, round and hook works.

Three Pit Bulls of seventeen Pit Bulls remain.

Angel is one of the remaining Pit Bulls. She is currently being cared for by Jaxie Heppner of the Beebe Humane Society. She truly is an angel, and we all hope for a safe and quick recovery. Poor Angel will be better soon.
